Project Description

The 50,000 square meter, 20 floor Waratah private hospital provides medical offices for an extensive multi-specialty group of doctors including a 7 Operating Theatre acute surgical hospital with 36 beds incorporating 24 overnight stay beds (in excess of 30 bed future building expansion provision) and a level 1 ICU, extensive Imaging and Nuclear Medicine, Cancer services including Radiation Oncology and a Chemotherapy clinic with 6 beds and 36 chairs, Pathology, Pharmacy, Physiotherapy and other therapies, and Surgical Services all under one roof for ease of healthcare delivery to patients.

The Hospital implemented an advanced Electronic Healthcare Record (EHR) designed for the hospital and ancillary services, academic medical research, and is capable of being integrated into hospital delivery networks. It offers integrated clinical, financial, and administrative software solutions to help improve management of patient billing, revenue cycles, and closed-loop medication. This is the first paperless system in Australia.
